Creating a Job Requisition in Paycom


When to create a requisition: When an employee quits/terminates, or changes jobs/shifts, create a requisition to post the job internally and externally (on Indeed). You also need to do a personnel action form in Paycom to let HR know about the change.


To Create a Requisition

  1. Log into Paycom.
  2. Navigate to: Talent Acquisition> Applicant Tracking>Create or Manage Requisitions.
  3. Click on the green “Create a Requisition” button (top right).
  4. Complete the form:
    • SELECT “POSITION” NOT “JOB TEMPLATE” then click “Continue” at the Data Loss Message. We don’t use job templates.
    • ONLY complete required (red asterisk) fields.
    • ONE (1) position per requisition
    • Primary Recruiter = Who screens applications?
    • Hiring Manager = Who will interview?
    • Reports to = Who is their true manager?
    • Use “Additional Comments” to tell Talent Arts if you need us to advertise.
  5. Click “Submit” and the requisition will be forwarded to Talent Arts for approval and posting.
