It is still a construction site, messy and dusty -- but stand in the middle of it, and you can already feel the charm emanating from this community of semi-built houses, newly-constructed winding roads, views of downtown and the new assisted-living building.
After months of site preparation, the Asbury neighborhood houses began sprouting out of the ground as fast as spring flowers pop up in the rain. Once the first foundations were laid, Blum Construction has wasted no time!
One of the best features of Asbury is its assortment of architecture and sizes. All are two bedroom, two bath and free-standing. Exteriors feature styles from Traditional Colonial brick to Tudor, Craftsman, French and rustic finishes. Patio homes are 1,326 square feet, with floor plans based on our recently completed cluster homes on Bayberry Court, Oriole Court and Fountain Hill Road. The other Asbury homes range from 1,597 to 1,932 square feet.
So far, ten houses are spoken for. We are having a wonderful time working with these incoming residents, and with Lambert Architecture, to make these homes just the way they want them. If all continues to go well, we are hoping the first homes will be completed in August and occupied in the fall.
